Sacred to three faiths – Judaism, Christianity and Islam – Jerusalem holds profound symbolism to each and all. In 2010 Israel’s claim of exclusive sovereignty over the Holy City is hotly contested once again while the city’s life reflects its Jewish, Arab Muslim and Christian history.
